How the Teeless Driver Compares to the Top Three Drivers

With the incredible amount of drivers on the market, it can be difficult to make a decision when choosing the driver that’s best for you.

If you’re reading this, then you’ve probably at your wits end trying to finally decide, but the Teeless Driver’s made your shortlist.

To provide you with an honest comparison so you can make an informed decision on your new driver, we took a look at the three leading drivers on the market and compared it to the Teeless Driver.

Let’s break down how the Teeless stacks up against the “Big Golf Guys” and see if your quest for the perfect driver ends here.

Topics Covered in This Guide

01

Price

It’s self-evident that drivers aren’t exactly cheap, but that doesn’t mean you have to pay a premium price for premium equipment. Let’s take a look.

The Other Guys: More Expensive

The top three drivers in 2023 have a starting price point of $349 and go as high up as $599, which makes even the cheapest option $100 more expensive than the Teeless.

Teeless Driver: Reasonably Priced

One of our foundational principles at GoGolf365 is to provide premium equipment without the premium price, and the Teeless is a testament to that.

Currently, the Teeless Driver sits at a cool $249, giving you everything the big guys have (and then some) without the big price tag.

Clubhead

When comparing clubheads, we looked at the material and design.

The Other Guys: Standard Material, Solid Design

All three of the top competitors used a clubhead made of graphite - which isn’t bad, but not as good as what the Teeless uses. (More on that in a minute)

One out of the three clubs had a similar “Low-and-back” center of gravity feature that the Teeless has to generate a high MOI - that’s good to see.

The overall designs of the clubheads were solid - nothing bad to report there. But you can get everything the “Big Golf Guys” have in their drivers, and more, for a fraction of the price with the Teeless.

Teeless Driver: Maraging Steel & Teeless Design

Although titanium may be the industry standard for clubheads, that doesn’t mean it’s the best option.

The Teeless Driver features maraging steel - aka “spring steel” - to produce a higher ball speed. Maraging steel boasts a quicker “rebound effect” than titanium or stainless steel, leading to faster ball speeds and more distance.

In addition, the entire clubface produces white-hot contact due to the “cup face” tech and a pair of stabilizing posts inside the clubhead.

Now onto its namesake; yes, you can hit the Teeless off the turf.

One of the most notable differences between the Teeless Driver and traditional drivers is that you don’t need a tee to tee-off. This may sound like a small detail, but it actually has a big impact on the way the club performs.

Without a tee, the driver is able to make contact with the ball at a lower point, which in turn helps to reduce spin and increase distance.

This is particularly beneficial for golfers who struggle with slicing or hooking the ball, as it helps to straighten out their shots and keep them in the fairway.

03

Loft

When reviewing this next section about the loft, keep in mind that if you swing less than 100 MPH, a little extra backspin from a higher loft is a good thing. (More on that in a sec)

The Other Guys: Par for the Course

The options for loft angle in all three leading drivers range anywhere from 9º to 12°, pretty standard.

Teeless Driver: 13º Loft

Yes, the Teeless’ loft is more than a conventional driver’s - but if you swing less than 100 MPH, that little extra backspin from a 13º loft helps to keep your ball in the air.

The combination of the 13º loft and low-and-back COG is your ticket to launch it high for exceptional carry distance off the deck. Lots of golfers don’t know this, and we’re here to change that.

“I've never hit it as long and as straight with any other club as I have with this (T)Less driver.”

04

Shaft Length

This may not seem like something to ponder over, but it makes quite a difference.

The Other Guys: Standard Shaft Length

All three of the leading drivers had a standard shaft length. While this does equate to longer maximum distance, it sacrifices control.

Teeless Driver: Shorter-Than-Standard Shaft

The Teeless Driver has a shaft length of 43” for men and 42.5” for women and seniors, roughly 2.5” to 3” shorter than the “Big Golf Guys” - but the shorter length actually boosts your average distance.

Because the shorter shaft of the Teeless is much easier to control, you’ll strike the sweet spot more consistently, which boosts your average distance.

What’s more important; the absolute maximum distance that you only hit on your best days, or a consistently accurate shot with a longer average distance?

Reviews

Last but not least, we took a look at the Amazon reviews for the leading drivers and added them up to the reviews of the Teeless.

The Other Guys: Not Bad, But Not Much

The leading drivers we compared the Teeless to had a similar rating of 4.5 to 5 stars on Amazon - but what’s interesting is how none of these drivers came close to the amount of reviews that the Teeless has.

Great club!  Today we had winds of 40 MPH in Hawaii and the Teeless driver came thru with very low drives. Thanks for the club!

Scott J.

I loved the club, I have had a bit of a slice for years and I didn't slice any of the shots that I took at the driving range and I added 20 to 30 yards to my drives compared to my old driver.

First time I used my new TLess driver was on hole 2, 278yds...laid it up right in front of the green. So thumbs up!

Was hitting my drives longer than I have this year and straight down the fairway. I was in regulation more than I can remember! Was definitely worth the purchase!   Thanks!

It’s winter, and all the golf courses I play are closed for the season. I have a large field behind my house and I have tried the Teeless Driver there. I am amazed at the results right from the start. Most of my shots were long and straight, and a few were long, with a slight fade. I am eager for spring to get here so I can see the results on the golf course.
